I’ve actually built this product before. About five years ago I built a product called
FriendlyNote.com. Now reborn, quicker, more reliable, and responsive, I give you 10k.me.
Most project management tools focus on tasks. What I find lacking in most of them is a higher level view of the status of a project. Projects are on the horizon, they get road blocked, they’re moving along nicely, they’re done! Along with a note about their current status, I find it helpful to be able to see all this at a glance. That’s what 10k.me does.
Why 10k? In David Allen’s Getting Things Done, above your daily tasks and below your long-term goals is a “10,000 foot view” of how things are going. At a glance, you should be able to see the progress you’re making week to week.
Please try it and let me know what you think!
